Highlight of the week: Gucci’s Cruise 2020!

Finally it’s Friday! Today I want to write about Gucci’s Cruise 2020. First of all, fashion has been used for a long time as a platform for promotion and change. Many designers use this theme as a form of expression to raise their voice and make their beliefs or priorities known. In recent years, these voices have become stronger and in the case of Gucci, they mark a revolution. For its cruise collection, the Italian firm decided to express its position in favor of the sexual, maternal and reproductive rights for women.

¡Me fascinaron!

Under the direction of creative director Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s Cruise 2020 collection debuted this week at the Capitoline Museum in Rome with some key pieces that support women’s rights. A jacket, for example, had the phrase “my body, my choice” embroidered on the back, while another dress had an image of the female reproductive system embroidered on it. I loved them!
